The Cedar Collection 2022 is Lee’s latest outdoor commission and features six hand-sculpted exterior artworks. These mirrored garden sculptures, crafted from sustainably-felled Deodar Cedar, use Lee’s signature approach of merging tree and mirror to reveal the dramatic facades of this once proud tree.

Created for a commission from the award-winning duo VaRa Garden Design, the collection was first shown at the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May 2022, in the wooded Ranelagh Gardens area of the Royal Hospital Gardens, Chelsea, London.

Lee’s technique of creating a cedar frame around a sunken mirror creates illusions of ethereal pools and tilting ponds amongst the Trollius Golden Queen, Heuchera Plum Puddings and Brunnera Jack Frost. The sculptures pull light into areas of shade and cast intriguing perspectives on the plant life and tree canopies.
