Lee Borthwick’s new Cedar Sculptures on show with VaRA Garden Design at the dazzling Chelsea Flower Show – 50 days to go

So excited to have the opportunity to present a new sculptures this spring by invitation from VaRa Garden Design. Asked to create mesmerising planting for the Ranelagh areas at this years Chelsea Flower Show, VaRA Garden Design have brought me onboard to enhance their gorgeous new planting scheme with beautifully reflective, textural outdoor sculptures crafted from Cedar wood. We are enjoying playing and planting together! Watch this space…

Embrace a new skill, Learn Pyrography at Craft Central during this years London Craft Week -14th May

I am pleased to announce I will be running ‘Learn Pyrography – The Art of Drawing with Fire‘ as part of #londoncraftweek at Craft Central on May 14th 2022. Craft Central’s fantastic Makers Market will also be taking place all day on May 14th and I will be selling a selection of tableware and artworks, I can’t wait to be back.

Tickets for the Pyrography workshop are £69, and the workshop runs from 2pm-5pm. Tickets and further information can be found here.

Discover “Craft by Residency”at London Craft Week 2021

I am thrilled to participate in Future Icons latest exhibition, “Craft by Residency”. Featuring 14 makers plus guest designer Nat Maks, the exhibition runs from the 4th – 10th of October as part of London Craft Week. In celebration of the show I have a created a new wall hanging, a continuation of the Wandering Collection and I look forward to showing it in the contemporary space that is Residency in Islington Square, London. Join me at this summer’s E17 Art Trail

The E17 Art trail will be taking place in a real life this July and I am thrilled to be involved and exhibiting new works. I will be a guest at the studio of ceramicist Jo Davies who has recently taken on a beautiful three-story workshop in the heart of Walthamstow. Long term collaborator and friend, Jo Davies makes the most divine hand thrown porcelain homewares, works that sit harmoniously alongside my own natural tableware and mirror sculptures. Visitors may take the opportunity to sign up for the range of workshops on offer at the studio.

Future Icons exhibiting at the divine Burlington Arcade

How exciting to be announcing a physical exhibition at the stunning Burlington Arcade. I am thrilled to be showcasing one of my mirror installations and a selection of tableware in this beautiful setting. The event will overlap with London’s fantastic Mayfair Art Weekend. Many of Future Icon’s esteemed makers are being brought together in this celebration of luxurious craft and artworks for the month of June and we would love to invite you over to 66 Burlington Arcade for a visual feast. All works are for sale and commissions will be accepted.

The exhibition opens 3rd June 2021 and is open everyday until June 30th.
